Every morning, Nishiyama Ryokan - Established In 1953 offers a complimentary Matcha tea ceremony where guests both watch and participate. Select evenings feature a live Koto (13-string instrument) concert, with opportunities to play the instrument. A free walking tour of the neighborhood is also available for guests.

Dining

The ryokan serves a traditional Japanese breakfast in the dining room with three seating times at 7:30am, 8:00am, or 8:30am. Breakfast changes daily, offering a centerpiece dish like boiled tofu or small meats with a personal fryer, plus rice, fruit, salad, egg, fish, and miso soup. Vegetarian options and a Western breakfast are available upon request.

Rooms and Amenities

Guest rooms at NISHIYAMA RYOKAN have tatami (woven-straw) floors with traditional futon bedding, an LCD TV, attached bathroom, and yukata robes.
